It all happened in a matter of hours, with no reference to committee, no public hearing, and no public work session. In what has to be a record, both the House and Senate voted on and sent to the governor — and he signed — a bill to temporarily block any person or entity from getting their hands on the names of people in Maine who have permits to carry a concealed weapon.
