The Maine State Employees Association is asking for a meeting with Governor Paul LePage to discuss what plans there are for a possible partial shutdown of State Government, if a new 2-year budget can’t be arrived at by July 1, the beginning of the fiscal year. But the LePage administration says there is no plan, so there’ll be no meeting; at least for now.
Meanwhile, rumors abound over whether a prominent democrat will challenge LePage in the 2014 election.
