Is Collins trying to have it both ways?

Emotions are running high – both on Capitol Hill and across the country – as the second business day of the federal shutdown comes to an end. And much of the anger is focused on congress.

Sen. Susan Collins was the target of a scathing column in the Portland Press Herald, while Sen. Angus King has been singled out for a remark he made to a reporter.

Is Collins trying to have it both ways by saying she doesn’t believe defunding ObamaCare should be part of the budget and then voting in support of a budget that defunds ObamaCare? Did King, who said he was going down to Washington to “change the tone,” go over the top when he called supporters of defunding ObamaCare “murderers.”

We talk about both those stories – plus much more – with analysts Phil Harriman and Ethan Strimling.
